transparend für mainwindow

Hallo zusammen,
ich wollte fragen es es eine möglichkeit gibt das
Mainwindow einer Anwendung transparent zu machen,
sprich das man dahinterliegene programme oder desktop
durchscheinen lassen kann?
so wie es für kde 4 geplant ist.

Ich benutze kde und da weiß ich nicht ob es jetzt daran liegt das es
nicht funktioniert.....
es passiert mit dem fenster einfach garnix ist kein unterschied....
vielleicht bin ich ja au nur zu blöd ^^
hat jemand noch ne idee wie ich sowas hinbekommen könnte?

Die Qt-Doku sagt folgendes dazu:

This feature is available on Mac OS X, X11 platforms that support the Composite extension, and Windows 2000 and later.

Note that under X11 you need to have a composite manager running, and the X11 specific _NET_WM_WINDOW_OPACITY atom needs to be supported by the window manager you are using.

Ich schätze mal, dass es nicht funktioniert, da dein X11 es nicht unterstützt (siehe oben).
